Welcome
Flying Samaritans Arizona is a volunteer, nonsectarian, health oriented organization serving and working with medical, optometry and dental personnel in remote areas of Baja California Mexico to help supplement medical care for the local populations. Flying Samaritans Arizona is a not-for-profit organization and includes chapters that operate three clinics in Baja California Mexico. The Tucson Chapter provides medical and dental care in Baja California at El Rosario, which is about 25 miles south of San Quintin. The Phoenix Chapter, based in the Phoenix Metropolitan area, was formed in 1991. Currently the Phoenix Chapter provides medical and dental care in Baja California Sur, Mexico at Puerto Adolfo López Mateos
and at Laguna San Ignacio. The Tucson Chapter often
helps staff the Laguna San Ignacio clinics.
The Flying Samaritans rely totally on volunteer participation. We currently use medical physicians, dentists, dental hygienists, physicians assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, emts, optometrists, chiropractors, pharmacists, interpreters, pilots and helpers.
We also have volunteers who help as interpreters, so it is not necessary to speak Spanish in order to volunteer your talents as a medical professional, dentist, chiropractor, pilot or helper.
